A CHECK-UP FOR YOUR FEELING AND THOUGHTS

Individual treatment planning is like making a customized map for someone who's trying to get better from mental health challenges. Imagine you have a friend who's feeling down and needs help. This process will involve meeting with an assessor or therapist /counselor and together, you will decide what goals you want to achieve. Just like planning for a school project, you and the provider will come up with steps to reach those goals. As a social support the provider will assess how you are doing with meeting your goals during each provider visit.

IMPROVING YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE

Psychosocial rehabilitation is a way to help people with mental health challenges live fuller lives. Think of it like a toolbox full of strategies and support to help someone get back on track after facing difficulties with their mental health. It's kind of like physical therapy for the mind and emotions. The PSR will help you with understanding feelings, skill building, setting and achieving goals found in your treatment plan. In addition, they will help you reinforce coping skills and strategies learned from your therapist or counselor.

A SURVEY ABOUT YOURSELF

As a care management entity (CME) for OhioRISE, Genesis Behavior Services will support OhioRISE members who live in the western Cuyahoga County area. An Ohio RISE CANS Assessment is questionnaire that helps people understand how you're feeling and what kind of help you might need. It's used to figure out the best ways to support you and your family. The assessment asks you questions about different parts of your life, like how you're feeling, how you're doing in school, and how you get along with others. It's basically filling out a survey about yourself. The answers you give help the counselors and doctors, understand what's going on in your life. This way, they can come up with a plan to support you better. Overall, the Ohio RISE CANS Assessment is a tool to help make sure you get the right help and support you need to feel better and do well.

UNDERSTANDING BEHAVIOR AND EMOTIONS

Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) are like having a coach who helps you learn new ways to handle your behavior and feelings. It's all about figuring out what triggers certain behaviors and finding ways to manage them better. When you get TBS, you work with someone who's really good at understanding behavior and emotions. They'll spend time with you to figure out what makes you feel upset, anxious, or frustrated. Then, they'll teach you techniques to calm down, make better choices, and deal with tough situations. It's kind of like having a secret toolbox full of tricks to help you feel more in control and happier. The person helping you might use things like games, role-playing, or relaxation exercises to teach you these skills. Overall, TBS is all about giving you the tools and support you need to handle life's challenges in a more positive and healthy way.

HELP WHEN YOU ARE STRUGGLING

Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment, or CPST for short, is a type of help for people who might be struggling with their mental health. Think of it like having a team of friends and professionals who are there to support you when things feel tough. The goal of CPST is to help folks live better lives in their communities. This means the team works with them in places where they feel comfortable, like at home or in their neighborhood, instead of only in a doctor's office. The team can include different people like counselors, social workers, or nurses who listen to what the person needs and help them find ways to cope with their feelings or challenges. They might teach skills for managing stress, finding housing, or connecting with other helpful resources in the community. Overall, CPST is like having a group of individuals who are there to lend a hand and guide you toward feeling better and living well.

GET HELP AND SUPPORT

A Substance Abuse Disorder Program - place where people who are struggling with using drugs or alcohol too much can get help and support to stop or control their use. In these programs, you meet with counselors and other people who understand what you're going through. They're like friendly guides who help you figure out why you're using substances too much and teach you ways to manage cravings or deal with stressful situations without turning to drugs or alcohol. The program might have different parts, like group therapy where you talk with others who are going through similar things, or individual counseling where you talk one-on-one with a counselor. You'll learn about the effects of drugs and alcohol on your body and mind, and how to make healthier choices for yourself. The goal is to help you live a happier and healthier life without relying on substances. It's like having a team of people who want to help you feel better and overcome challenges. COMING SOON

VIDEO CALL WITH A DOCTOR

Behavioral Health Telepsychiatry is having a video call with a special doctor who helps you with your feelings and mental health. Instead of going to a doctor's office, you talk to them through a computer or phone screen. The doctor you talk to is called a psychiatrist. They're experts in understanding how your brain works and prescribing medicine that can help you feel better if you're struggling with things like feeling sad, anxious, or having trouble concentrating. During the video call, the psychiatrist will ask you questions to understand how you've been feeling and what might be bothering you. Based on what you tell them, they may suggest some medication that could help you feel better. COMING SOON

EVERYONE HELPS EACH OTHER

Our group counseling program is like being part of a team where everyone helps each other feel better. Instead of talking to just one counselor, you get to talk with a bunch of other people who might be going through similar things. In these programs, you all meet in a safe and comfortable place. The counselor leads the group and helps everyone share their thoughts and feelings. You might talk about things like stress, relationships, or how to cope with tough emotions. It's kind of like being in a club where everyone understands each other and supports one another. You learn from each other's experiences and realize you're not alone in what you're going through. Group counseling can be a really positive and encouraging place where you make friends, learn new skills, and feel more confident in handling life's challenges. COMING SOON
